When it comes to children's socialization girls are to be very feminine and wear brighter colors, (pink, yellow, and white) where as the boys are a little more aggressive and wear darker colors, (blue, green, black). Girls are usually playing with things they see their moms doing and reenact what they see on T.V. That usually consists of dolls, food sets, and makeup. The boys on the other hand usually play with the more action type toys. The cars, G.I.Joes, guns, and blocks. In the
picture that is taken it shows a little girl by herself putting on Chap Stick. A form of make up that is permitted by parents to avoid huge messes. The picture is taken in a darker atmosphere that way all the attention is focused on the little girl with her Chap Stick. Haley is by herself as well showing that girls are usually off doing there own thing, and not so much worrying about what all the other kids are doing. The main reason this picture was chosen for this assignment is because it shows the idea how children do things just because they see others of the same gender doing them. Little Haley sees her mother put on Chap Stick because she actually has dry lips. Haley feels that she should do the same even though Haley doesn't even understand the concept of the chapped lips yet.
