I chose this picture for my Photo/Blog assignment for a few reasons. First of all, it brings up the point that a guy has to get girls to be accepted, and considered "cool". I'm sure that he got that knowledge from his older brother, who always has girls over. In today's culture, the more women a guy can get, the cooler, and more masculine he is seen to be. When it is the opposite for girls, and that makes it really hard. The other reason I chose this picture is because in the background he has a picture on his wall of a very slim, pretty girl that just happens to barely be wearing anything. This to me shows what every male in our society today wants; a tall, gorgeous girl that will just look nice and pose next to his favorite toy, in this case a motor-cross bike. If that's all a guy will go for, there's very good chance he's not going to get lucky. The poster says to girls, you have to look this good to be wanted, which is very degrading and
also very untrue.

I completely agree that the males who get the most girls are those that are socially accepted by other males. When younger boys, like the one in this picture, are hanging out with all girls they are positively reinforced by their peers for being a “ladies man.” It is seen as a good thing when males do this, but when girls are the ones with a lot of boys they are negatively reinforced by their peers. Society has classified women as just objects to men, used to raise their self esteem. I also agree that the poster on the wall is advertising what society and other males want women to look like and do; be tall, skinny, barely clothed, and to just stand there looking pretty. It makes younger girls think that the only way boys will accept you is if you look and act just like this. My best friend is far from this mold and still has a serious boyfriend and many other girl and guy friends that like her just the way she is.
This is so true. I know alot of males who are so pressed to have alot of females after them.I don't see how a guy could see that as cool. They would never want a girlfriend who has alot of "guy friends because she is assumed to be a slut.This is so stereotypical of guys because there are ways to be cool with guys and not be slutty. Most men have a possesive view on women. They don't like when other guys have what they have. Also having more women makes them look powerful.NOT!!I don't think guys realize that some females are watching them and those are the guys I would stay away from..What is really up with the male brain???Sex???LOL
