I have made a small collage of different pictures from Comopolitanmagazine that describes how young teenagers tend to act to fit into society by how the media presents older women and men. In the upper-left hand corner and bottom middle of the collage, there are a male and a female being intimate with each other. I chose these two pictures to represent that the media is sending a message that says, "If you look just like this, you too, can have sex." The background picture on the left side represents what a woman must look and act like to get attention from men. The woman is posed in a very dominating manner and wearing only jeans and boots, holding a cane as if to punish someone. This is showing that women must always be seductive and dominating. In the right background picture, there is a woman and a man being lifted up into the air my several friends of theirs. They are also holding alcoholic beverages in their hands. This picture sends the message that all young and beautiful people drink alcohol and people "worship" them for it. Women tend to go to the extremes to look exactly like these women in the collage at a young age, which includes dieting, under-aged drinking, and trying to have sexual activity as soon as possible. Teenage boys look at these men in magazines and tend to think that no girl will ever be with them unless they have “6-pack” abs and "rock-hard" muscles.
