Emotional Gender

From Terrence
I see that little boys get attention but do not get as much attention as little girls. I believe that this shows that parents will let girls do more than they let guys do and girls get away with it more since they are girls. The color of the picture shows that it is a current issue that we overlook that parents need to treat their sons and daughters the same way. Parents and grandparents need to look and treat their sons and daughters the same way so that they feel equal when they are growing up instead of feeling more powerful than the other. You see certain sadness in the boy's eyes when he looks into the camera. I see that little boys get harassed more than little girls since his grandmother was yelling at him but when my girl cousin came in no one said anything negative to her.

I don’t agree that male children lack attention at all from parents. I believe that because male children are taught to be strong, don't cry and don't be to affectionate is the reason you might feel as if boys need more attention. Boys also grow up in society with more freedom and more ways to express themselves than girls. Boys are not taught to be calm when hurt, so they usually give more thoughts an aggression. The problem for people treating boys like men is because of society norms.
