The picture I selected represents how compassion and empathy are taught to young females at an early age (as early as toddler).The unnamed female with the short black hair has chosen an alternative life style as she is a tom boy ( a term used in this region of the world to describe a female who enjoys hobbies and activities typically participated in by males) yet she is still accepted and shown emotional and physical accepted by her female peers. This type of acceptance is very uncommon in her male counterparts when dealing with a male with female tendencies.The unamed female enjoys soccer, wearing men and boys fashion, and hair cuts with her father yet she is still seen posing in a picture hugging another female. The background is very interesting because people are in a social setting at a gathering (birthday party) in attendance with a female who prefers to wear mens fashion and everyone is relaxed and going about their business as if everything is normal, yet in our society if a man were to attend a social gathering in a womans dress and make up there would be insults, rude comments, and impromptu pictures taken against his will. This reinforces the fact that women are more nurturing, empathetic, and accepting of each other and they are consciously and subconsciously taught these things early in life.
