Brandon's Room

I am trying to illustrate a typical boy’s room through my brother’s room, and each object in the picture has some kind of meaning. Brandon is my younger brother. He is 17 years old and loves soccer. Brandon is the biggest figure and located in front because this story is about him. He is wearing a soccer uniform and raising his chin high with confidence. These represent a typical male’s figure. If I compare a typical male’s figure with an object, I would compare it with a dresser because it stands high, which suggests a high position of men in society. His posture is very rigid and weighted. It implies his invisible responsibility to his family as a man. He is looking down at the camera and the camera is also looking up at him. It means that he gets respect from people around him.The blue wall indicates that it is a boy’s room. The caps, fishing rod, basketball, TV and Play Station represent typical boys’ clothes, habits, and sports. There are many awards on the wall and the dresser, and they are located higher than any other objects. It means that his achievement is highly praised by his family. Most of the pictures in the frames are himself and his family which are located at the bottom of the awards. It symbolizes that his love for himself and his family’s love for him support him to do well what he does. Line for the ceiling and line for the floor approach each other. The dark left side is his past, the dresser is his present, and the bright right side is his future. The dark side on his left shows he is unsure and immature. The bright side on his right means certainty and maturity. The sunlight and the lamp on the right side represent his bright future.
