Beauty=Time and Money‏

From: Shelby
The picture I chose is in a girl’s room. It’s a picture of a girls vanity covered in many different products that she use’s to get ready every day. There is a big mirror connected to the vanity so she can be sure she looks good enough to go out. There is also a chair in front of the vanity that she sits in for long periods of time each day. She will not get out of this chair until she feels she is “good enough” too. She may feel this way because of the pressure that’s put on young girls to look good. It’s like she and many other girls obsess over the way they look. She had different products from nail polish to lotion to hair spray. I took this picture at an angle focusing only on the right side of the vanity because the left side was empty. Almost like nothing else mattered besides the stuff she needs to get ready each day. Although this girl did not have any magazines or celebrity pictures sitting on her vanity she is still pressured by her friends and peers to look good. If she did not have all these different products to help her look good she would be put down and picked on. This girl keeps all of her stuff organized on one side of the vanity so that way she knows right where everything is and whenever she needs something she can go right there and find it fast.
