From: Paul
In the photo there is a teenage boy with his head down who reaches out but with someone grabbing guiding his arm towards the football. I choose this kind of pose because to spoke out for the gender scripts that are placed on us as adolescence. I believe that this pose has the most character that shows how gender socialization is taught and learned.  In such a way of when we are adolescence we are blind and I don’t mean literally. When you are that young how much do you really know about the world and what we are being taught is right or wrong? So that’s why I also incorporated the teenage boy with his head downwards. In the sense of that he doesn’t really have a choice in what to pick. It’s all up to the hand that is guiding, which also stands as the community/environment and, how it forces us into this type of gender categories.

This photo is very strong in its message. Its all true about how we are blind when we are young. That the media and our surroundings "guide" us into doing certain things and behaving certain ways. I like how the image is taken at the ground level of the young man sitting on the floor, giving the "guiding hand" an oppressive feel. Or at least giving the hand an over powering effect to the overall image, and therefore aiding in the message of being forced into certain gender roles.

This photo is very valid with its explanation of how society leads you to do certain things. As young people don't really have a say you just do

This photo shows how someone can influence another. There is a football or a lady's shoes on the floor where there is someone making them choose which one they are pose to have. By someone making them choose they have no say and what they want they have to just listen so they ca fit in. the young man has to stay with in the gender role by picking the football over the women shoe.
