Throughout society it has been known for womanto play a specific role. Woman are the most feminine; they take care of the house chores, do the shopping, take care of the kids and so forth. Even in today's society this is common. As you can see in the picture above there is a little girl portraying the rolesof a woman. She has on high heels and pushing a stroller with her baby. She has saw this role being played before, whether it be by her mom, or from the media. The role of a woman has not changed even in today's society. Yes, there has becomemore working women, but this role is still common. And it's funny how even a two year old knows the expected role of a woman.

This is a great example of how the gender rolls in the media affect children. The stroller to me symbolizes the roll as a women. The shoes shows that she has big shoes to fill in this roll. Then she is glancing back at the TV, showing its the media she is imitating
The picture, “Little Woman” portrays how children want to be just like their parent. This little girl wants to be just like her mommy. She’s wearing he mommy’s high heals and pushing a stroller with a stuffed animal in it and a purse hanging from it. You can see how the child’s perception of being a grown woman is; feminine, pretty, and maternal. This girl knows that if you want to be a beautiful grown up woman that you have to wear pink, purses, and heals. Also, she knows those women are to take care of the children. Parents set an example to their children, and it seems that the lead examples that make the biggest impact on the children are gender roles.
This picture definitely portrays the idea of gender roles through media. I'm not sure exactly what the little girl is watching on the tv, but for all we know she could be mimicking a mom on the television show. Her high heels and baby stroller show a typical woman/mother figure. The little girl is probably learning from the things she sees on tv, and when she sees a mother with her baby in a stroller on tv, she tries to reenact the show with her baby dolls and stroller.
