Reflections of a teenage girl

From: Ashley

The photo I took is of a teenage girl who has been influenced by the media of what her body should look like. The media sets standards for young girls that they should have a good looking body and there are certain things you must do. As you can see in the first photo she is looking on her computer on breast implants, trying to receive information and knowledge thinking to herself "I am not happy if I have bigger breast alot of things might get better". In this day in age a lot of childern mainly teens have self esteem issues because some girls hit puberty later than others and are not statisfied with them selfs. So as you can see in the second photo she is in the mirror which is showing her reflection of her stuffing her padded bra while looking at a picture of the well known model Kim Kardashian. Who is known for her well looking body but, it is not natural. She is known for having breast implants as well. This is a reflection to the girl because she wants to be something like her. She wants to have what see has so she can say "I have big breast and I am beautiful now" But, breast implantation will give her a bit more confidence only for a while it will not last that long. But, most of teenagers think because that model has this and this she is so happy. But, money and surgery can not buy you happiness. You should be confident in who you are and be thankful for what you have. Because at the end of the day everyone in the media might seem happy to us but, deep down in side they may have some regret of what they had done.
