Photo explanation

I chose this photo because to me it explains how focused girls are on their looks and what they portray themselves as. The face that my face takes up the whole photo represents that young girls try to empower themselves. They don’t want to seem weak and young. The makeup shows how the girls wish to look as old as they can (20 not 17). The dramatic lighting is used to create an empowering effect as well and the fact that no other part of the body is shown is to represent how the female teenager wishes to be older, but is still insecure. The makeup and odd angle of the photo is to show how girls want to warp their appearance to appear prettier to get more attention (on social networks).
