By looking at these girls we assume already that they are young girls. Why, because they are wearing pink, or because their hair is long? The way we already presume that they are girls by what they are wearing is what is wrong with our generalization on females. What if they were wearing army colored pants and a baggy shirt? In our head we would think they were young boys. We need to stop stereo typing but colors and assumptions of what we think girls and boys should look like. The fact that these girls are wearing pink bathing suits makes us think that that is okay. Girls and boys should be able to express them selves however they want. When they are this young they don't know the difference between pink and blue, or Barbies and G.I. Joe dolls. We should be teaching children at such a young age that it is okay to be a boy and want to play house, or that if you're a girl its okay to want to play with race cars. I think today people are starting to be more stereotypical towards their kids because they think it will make them manlier or more feminine but in the end your kids are going to grow and hang out with different crowds. How they act when they are young is just them having fun. We shouldn't take that way from them but making them act how we think they should act.

haha, the blog would be hilarious if you told us that the picture was actaully of your younger brothers. Something tells me though that if they were wearing camo, I would still think girls.
