This photo shows a seventeen-year-old girl who lives a busy life. Women are taught to take care of the household, hold a job, and find time to take care of themselves. She is facing away form the camera because she is captive to the computer. This image is shown by the look on her face. Her friends, music, online shopping, doing homework, and "myspace" take up a majority of this teenager's life. However, she also neglects other priorities. The picture of her room is messy because her time is spent on the computer and other responsibilities along with lbeing young; unlike she was raised to clean her room. The doorway is open to show that she is not completely away from the world that draws her attention.

I completely agree that girls are taught and born to be suzie-homemaker. Their rooms always have to be clean and tidy, and they should always look presentable. That's the old traditions my mom tried to instill in me, but if you saw my room it looks exactly like hers. Computer on, my personal webpage is my favorite, my room is a mess and my bed isn't made. Why aren't guys held to the same standard as girls?
