from Lindsey:
Little and young girls look up to girls in magazines, models, celebrities and they think that's who I want to be and that is what I want to look like. Girls want to dance like them, sing like them, and live like them. It's like people set standards for the right way to look and they're basing it off of these celebrities. This is a picture of Megan, 11. Megan is dancing in front of her friends to a new music video with a bunch of young girls dancing around with barely and clothes on. They look up to girls like that, and that's not always a good thing. Should girls age 11 already portray themselves as a sexual image as the girls in the music video? I don't think so. I'm sure Megan has been watching music videos similar to this one for awhile and each time it gets more and more drilled into her head that young girls dancing around provocatively is what looks good and what people want to see. As much as I hate to admit it, this is what things come down to you're supposed to look like "this" and your accepted.
