Boob Pasta, Boob Pillows, Boob Soap

Check out this article about all the boob products a man could ever want. What would Jean Kilbourne or Sut Jhally say about this?

Wow! I can't believe all that, they showed some crazy things! But I guess Sut Jhally or Jean Kilborne would say that they're using women as objects and using women's body parts as objects. I think they would also agree that men think they can manipulate women, just like men were manipulating all those "boob" objects.

I can't believe how many things these people thought of to make in the shape of boobs! At first, its just kind of funny but when you think about it, all of these things are really degrading to women. Jean Kilborne would probably say that they are dehumanizing women by only focusing on one part of the body, especially considering it is a particularly sexualized part.

Pretty sad how many things there are out there. I would be a hypocrite if I said it was wrong because I've bought penis things for gag gifts or bachelorette parties. What's funny is that there are no where near as many penis objects as there are boobs. I have never seen a penis egg fryer, pasta, among others. I think men take it a little too far. Sut Jhally would say that it puts down women and thinks only boobs as an object, like it's not part of a women. Also, kids would get the wrong idea if they saw things like this and probably would think it's okay to say or do things to their girl friends. It definitely sends the wrong idea and people should know when it's gone too far.

Most of these boob items were intended to be used for fun, as a joke. Women should find this degrading. Think about the confusion young girls go through in puberty. Biology is teaching them that their development is special and unique. Society is teaching them that their development is for guys to use for their enjoyment and as objects for jokes and laughs. I once thought about having a t-shirt made. It had fine print across the front that read, ”If you can read this, your obviously not paying attention to what I’m saying.”

OMG! I never realized how many boob novelties there are. This is degrading and inappropriate. I've seen some of these novelties in stores and I've had my kids with me. I for one, would rather my 11 year old son not be looking at boobs, whether they're fake or not. It's amazing what some stores and companies will do for a buck. Why men think that degrading women is so funny is beyond me. BTW, I love the T-shirt idea Gale Marie! :)

I wish I could say i was shocked, but I'm not. There is however a proper time to buy these products, in my opinion. My sorority at Cal State gave them as door prizes during October for breast cancer awareness month.

I think that its crazy that people have thought of all these ideas for boobs. I mean who would ever think of painting there car with boobs on the front.I think that its all in good fun for someone who is getting married or something like that. I would have to say that Sut Jhally or Jean Kilborne would say that they're using women as objects and using women's body parts as objects and selling points.

I hate to keep going back to this but as a nursing mother i find this interesting in the sense that men will see these as funny as will other woman but have a mother sit in a mall and breast feed her child. she is laughed at, shund, asked to leave the ares, asked to cover up. Well what about all these things. sut jhally should probably say that these too are driven by the young male pornagraphic mind and i would have to agree but the scary part is that these things were probably made by woman. probably by some woman much like were depicted in jean kilbornes article. ones that don't have much self worth. i tell everyone that my boobs where here for one purpose to feed my child now that i am done with that they do not define me. they are just another part of my body.

It is disturbing to see so many ways people can treat a womans body part as an object. I think Sut Jhally would say this is another line that could be crossed so easily by men. If a man thinks it is harmless to fondle breast in any shape for "only $9.99" and sees the humor then when will he get to the point where he fondles women? Will get the point that it is inappropiate?

What I want to know is where are these products thought of? Are men the only ones sitting in the board room or some dark alley thinking up these idiotic novelties? I wonder if there isn't even one woman around not wanting to speak up in fear of losing her job or actually in agreement with the humor they are trying to get.

It is crazy all the things that are on the market to buy these days. I cant believe some of the things they come up with,it really blows my mind sometimes. Jean Kilborm would not suppurt the selling of it because it odjectifies women as she would state and creates neg. sterotypes on the female gender. Sut Jhally would agree with Kilborm to an extent but foucus on how it affects children as at a young age when exposed to this sexual probucts degrading women.

Well its about time becasue there as always been things like penis lollipops or penis this or that so finally they made it even. The even everyone wants no but still even. The fact that someone came up with this stuff it quiet funny. I think Jean Kilborne would have fun with this and should add it to her films. This finally gives girl somewhat of an upper hand.

First that was funny, and secondly that was so derogative how the boobs were shown as it is an object for men to play with. To be precise this is what is happening in present day. Women are taken more as an object than a natural being. They are taken as a plaything and the women part are used to sell any thing in today's commercial world.

I think that it is amazing that people have actually sat around and thought some of this stuff up. That is a lot of free time. I think the attitude of the post is a bit ironic seeing as the author was a woman, but i guess that is why it is interesting. I dont really know what Jean Kilborne would say about this, but I bet Sut Jhally would talk about how having this many items on the shelf could portray the wrong idea to kids. We know that with music videos, sex is taught to our children at such a young age. However to see items like this that make breasts even more of an object then they already are, I suppose he would say that it would further damage how men look at women.
