This picture shows how young girls desire to be mothers. The girl in this picture wants to be just like her mom and plays with toys that resemble the items her mom uses for her little brother. There are many different toys for girls that have to do with pretending to be a mom. Most young girls have baby dolls and strollers so from an early age girls are being taught how to be a mom. These toys are only found in the "girl" aisles with other traditional female toys, like kitchen sets. The aisles containing "boy" toys have action figures but, boys are not encouraged to treat their action figures like real babies or cook for them. This leads some children to believe that only girls can take care of babies.

I think that its really wild how mothers and daughters have the same cycle. How is it that girls grow up wanting to do everything there mom wants to do? Why cant the girl learn these priciples from her father? I think that as long as parents are the ones who perpetuate these stereotypes, they will never go way. A girls ambition in life should not be to fulfill a gender role. If she wants to raise a family and do that stuff, then she should want to do it because she wants to, not because she has been to taught to.
