Brothers?

from: Christina

This picture illustrates the equality between males and females. In the picture there is a brother and sister. From behind it is difficult identifying which child is which. I chose to take this picture of them from behind to mask their genders and demonstrate a greater underlying equality. Both children are wearing boys clothing and look out the window to denote the need to look past what is directly in front of you and see what is really there. In this picture what is in front of the viewer is a reflection that may help in the revealing of the gender of the children.

what a cool picture. I have no idea who is who and i probably wouldn't be able to figure it out. I think that it shows that as much as gender socialization is wrong, it is also shows how dependent we are on it. Perhaps if everyone saw people as equals like you do in this picture, then perhaps the world would be a very different place. I also think that the gender in children shouldnt mater at this age. they should be able to pla with whoever and whatever they want without feeling like outcasts.

This picture says alot about gender. Looks can be decieving. The boys both have longer hair which resembles a girl as a social norm. But if their face is hiden, you may not see the person as they really are.
