Let's face it, in today world that we live in teenagers seem to be focus on all the wrong things. I took this picture to show how teens are often multitasking and have the need to be either glued to the phone or the computer. In our society today young teenagers focus on the Myspace and Facebook websites the most. Young girls and boys live to get the latest layout or the most popular song on their page. Teens usually spent more time on the computer then time spent doing their homework. Now days if you don't have a Myspace or Facebook page you not in tune with the rest of your peers. I believe that Myspace is a whole another world to most teens. Males and Females try to act or pretend like something they're not. By the pictures they have or just what they have written on the page. In this picture I deliberately showed the computer screen to show how teens have a main focus on all the wrong things that just don't benefit to their future.

This student makes an excellent point. I can recall many of times where my friends and I have sat infront of a computer naming off all the ugly/bad things about some boy friend stealer or something rediculous when looking at her myspace. I knew a girl who had a picture of her back facing the camera and all she had on was a bathing suit bottom. What made her think to do this? The attention? To show off how thin she was? To get THE MOST COMMENTS?! I often see sexual pictures from females and buff mirror pictures from males...in the end, who are they really trying to please?
I agree with this article to the fullest extent. If a teen spent as much time studying or doing something productive as they do on facebook alone maybe there would be a cure for AIDS by now. That's an extreme example but it just goes to show that endless hours in front of a computer screen are doing nothing to better society. The same goes for TV. What if everyone gave up watching reality tv shows and actually lived their own lives for themselves instead of watching other people's on the screen in their home. It's just mind boggling to think about how much different the world would be if unnecessary, mindless media was eliminated.
I think this picture is very true because teenagers are always on their cell phones or on the computer. Having MySpace on the computer screen was a good idea because teens are always on MySpace or Facebook. And if you don’t have one that your not “cool” basically. I don’t agree with them focusing on the wrong things because it’s a really good way to keep in touch with people whether its an every day basis or someone you haven’t talked to in forever.
