The photo represents how becoming more "beautiful" is harder and harder eveyday. This photo was taken from a higher point of view to let the audience realize the little girl is beng represented. Too young to be a woman and to old to be a little girl. The color in this photo is that she thinks herself as not being bright(which is why the lights are turned off) The expression on her face represents happiness in becoming who she wants to be. A beautiful young girl, just like the picture hanging on the mirror.

I like that the picture was taken from an angle above eye level. I think that really portrayed the idea of society always watching, always judging. As in anything, as time progresses so do the standards. It may not be a matter of people getting prettier but its a matter of what is pretty changing. Today we don't think that hairstyles of the 80s are sexy. But back then it was the best thing since sliced bread. Now we are into layers and side swiped bangs. Yet how will these images be viewed in 20 years? It's seems as though so much of life is being taken up by trying to fit into the status quo as opposed to being who you are and wearing what you want to wear. It's just obsurd that people try so hard to be something they aren't instead of being who they are.
The girl looking in the mirror has a picture with a female stuck on the side of the mirror. What she sees in that picture is probably what she considers as beautiful, she therefore has it stuck by her mirror so that she sees it every time she looks in the mirror so it she cn constantly be reminded of what she should live up to.
I thought this was a good picture and title. It tells you how people look down on you almost no matter what you do because of all the standards you need to meet in today’s society. You can tell that she looks up to Ashley Tisdale and probably tries to look like her when she gets ready each day. Little girls should not be that worried about how they look but as years go by it seems to get more and more popular for them to do.
