"Feminism is the political theory and practice to free all women: women of color, working-class women, poor women, physically challenged women, lesbians, old women –as well as white economically privileged heterosexual women. Anything less than this is not feminism, but merely female self-aggrandizement (exaggeration).”
I believe that this explains feminism to a T. I think that it is a very hard subject to understand exactly but after reading that, i think i get it a little better. I also learned that alot of people in general have different oppions on what feminism is. I think that is part of the definition of feminism, everyone no matter what gender can throw their own spin on it.
i believe feminism is different views from everyone you have different ideas and opinions on it no one ever agrees what it is or how they feel about it.
Feminism is a tough subject to understand. With that being said, I agree with it. I have learned so much more about it that I never knew before. I feel that I possibly can make a difference and in someways I already have but just now realizing that I have. Society needs to realize that females have a great part in todays world.
Although I can not reach everyone, together we can accomplish alot.
Every single person has different view on feminism and even women don't agree with eachothers interpretation on this term. It is very complex subject and society has not been able to show much appreciation on the thoughts and views of feminist. But with the hard work and determination we together can achieve a lot and make a difference.
Feminism is a political practice for getting women the freedom and right they deserve.
Before this class I didn't know much of anything about Feminism. I feel that I'm just starting to understand it some. Women have over come so many struggles and it seems we have come so far, but at the same time I feel we have so much farther to travel and issues to over come.
