Blue and Pink Christmas

From Jennifer

I took this picture of two children's Christmas lists, as you can see it is a boy and a girls list. The boy's list is a sky blue and the girl's list is a pink, those are the colors that kids are first recognized by what sex they are at birth and still are being recognized up to adult hood. On the boy's side you can see that the colors (just like the girls side) have expanded over the table to green, yellow, orange, brown, and black. On the girl's side you can see that the colors are still mostly pink but with red, purple, and white. I made the girls side stay to a major color (pink) because boys and girls mostly think that girls are pink, what I mean by that is when ask to describe girls pink is a very common word that come to the mind quickly whereas when ask to describe boys blue is usually further down on the list. Their toys are also dramatically different in that the girl's side is softer with the bunny and the butterfly and the boy's side is more dangerous with the T-Rex chasing the Triceratops and the pirate ship with the cannon.
