In today's world, your gender greatly affects the way you act, the things you do and the way people look at you. From a very early age parents give their children certain toys to play with based on their child's gender, and as the child gets older they think these toys are the "right" toys and begin to shape the person. Here is a picture of my little sister with all of her toys, and the way she plays with them. Look at the form of the picture and where all the toys are. The only boy toys in the picture are the Hess trucks, but they are all the way on the top shelf. And the color in the picture, everything is pink, which is obviously considered a girl color. From the dolls to the cabinets, even the guitar. Even notice how her only boy Barbie is driving the car, which is a beetle, and is typically a girl's car or her trophies from cheerleading, a girl dominate sport. This picture just proves the corrupt socialization in children and how children are influenced by others (at a young age mainly parents) to be something they may not be. It is obvious my little sister didn't go out to the store and buy all these toys or sign herself up for cheerleading, she started getting girl toys and pretty much forced to play girl sports as she was younger by our parents and now chooses these same things which are associated with her gender that society says are correct.
