My picture represents a very common gender socialization of the kids now a days in which they are dressed and the things they play with. It shows how even if kids are exposed to a girl toy, being a boy, they will still go for the boy toy right away and ignore the girl toy. My picture also represents how young boys are dressed by their parents in a way that will make them stand out as a boy. The atmosphere in which young boys and girls grow up in will have, in my opinion, a great influence on how they grow up to be in society.

I find this picture very interesting. My first observation is that the child in this picture appears to be dressed very boyishly, with darker blue clothing with boyish characters on them. The next more obvious part of the picture that I noticed was that he was playing with the toys that are targeted towards boys, which helps portray the boy is being socialized at a young age. Another interesting point in the picture is how the Hannah Montana toy along with the other girlie toys are sort of in the back of the picture and upside down or tucked away and under the stairs, which could possibly symbolize the lack of importance. The inverse of the more girlie toy shows that the boy toys are out of the toy box and on the floor near the boy. To me it is very interesting to see how young children become socialized. When growing up it seems to be impossible to understand or comprehend that you are being socialized to be a boy or a girl.
This picture is a great representation that boys should only play with boy toys such as firetruck. I noticed the bin of toys tucked under the stairs, it has girlier things such as a Hannah Montana bag and the young boy puts off a sense that he doesn't have any interest in seeing whats in that bin, he wants to just sit and play with his truck cause thats what boys do they play with trucks.
