In this picture there are a lot of
objects. Each object has its own meaning. The straightener, hair ties,
and bobby pins all have to do with hair. Hair is a key thing when it
comes to women. Those objects say that you need to take extra time to do
your hair, sometimes it takes girl’s hours to straightener their hair.
You have to style it and everything. The lotion means you have to have
soft smooth skin. With all the commercials out there about having smooth
skin it’s like saying that your natural skin is not enough that in
order to be attractive you have to have soft skin. The perfume
represents that you have to smell nice that you can’t have just your
normal scent you have to smell pretty, that its not just about looking
pretty you have to smell nice to. The entire make up says that society
wants you change yourself into something that is deemed as pretty.
Society makes you think that you need to cover up your imperfections,
the things that make you one of a kind. The mirror states that when you
are finally done and you look at yourself you don’t see who you truly
are you see what society has made you think is pretty and beautiful.

When I saw this picture all of these things that I actually use to get ready every day. Sometimes when I wake up I feel like I want to look really good today and usually that involves getting a cute outfit, doing my hair usually curling it, doing my makeup more than just concealer and eyeliner I add mascara, the “smoky eye” from eye shadow, and I usually do a couple splashes of perfume. So with the passage that you wrote with this I do believe that without these things people do not feel as beautiful as they should. Society has made such an impact on people through media that if you don’t do things, like your hair and makeup, that you will be in the out crowd which will soon lead to people making comments about you and your appearance which in reality everyone is beautiful in their own way!
