My picture is of Sean (4), Jackson (5) , Ariana (3) , and Allison (4 ), all playing dress-up. It shouldn't matter what you wear in daycare, but society judges you on everything. It symbolizes kids not caring, and wearing whatever they like. This picture shows how kids accept someone no matter what they look like, race, style, gender, etc. Boys like to feel "pretty" just as well as girls do, and this is their way of expressing it. Kids examine themselves even at young ages and wonder about their looks out of curiosity. They only know what to look for by the people that surround them, media, or even the public. Its hard to know what they believe is "normal" looking or not. Kids have their own way of expressing themselves and bringing out their personalities, as you can see in this picture with the faces they make, clothes they wear, facial expressions , etc.

I love how they are dressed. I think that the photographer asked the little boy to put the belle dress on and it wasn't through his own feelings. His face is not very happy like the other three children. The girls are smiling nicely and the boy to the left is making a angry face.
When you are young you don't give in to societies expectations and sterotypes. When you are that young you dress how want, in whatever makes you happy. I think that the period of time during which a person can do what they want and still be accepted by their peers is a great time in someones life.
This picture is well taken because it shows the importance of fitting in as a little kid. The boy in the back of the picture is looking down because he is not a part of what is going on. The little girl in the red dress is already tapping into what society wants girls to be- divas. The little boy in the ghost buster’s outfit is already tapping into what society demands of boys- there is aggression in his face.
