This photo represents the struggle girls experience between trying to be comfortable with how they look and trying to make improvements so that they can look better. This picture shows a young girl looking at a Hooters calendar and researching the topic of breast implants on the internet. Society puts pressure on girls to be the "Perfect Girl"and have large breasts. Even Barbie dolls are made with huge breasts! Some girls feel that they can never be beautiful or attractive until they look like the Hooters girls or the actresses in Hollywood who have gotten implants.

Beauty should be in the eye of the beholder. One needs to be happy with oneself for who they are and not for how society will perceive them to be. Then and only then will a person be truly content with themselves.
Not only does the photograph portray a young woman trying to condone to society’s normality of beauty, but also demonstrates the struggles that surround her. The girl is seen in the center of the photograph with the computer to her right and the Hooters memorabilia to her left. This provides evidence that the media is coming at women in all directions. Books, along with a framed photo, are located in the background, covered by the computer. These objects, such as education and relationships, are seen as less important when compared to beauty and hierarchy.
I think this is a great photo because it shows how young girls are affected by their surroundings. The images girls see are of woman who have had plastic surgery, have a lot of make up on, and/or have a perfect body that is not the norm of the rest of society. Girls looking at these woman do not realize that so they try to look like them.
Even though the picture is all about the girl wanting to look grown up and having the perfect body, there is still some aspects that make is seem like she's still an innocent little girl like her pink bed sheets and her pink shirt.
This photo shows how girls live to try to look how they believe people want them to look . In our society big breast are seen as being a good thing so many women go to lengths such has to get breast implants. This is done in order to please people. They feel that this is what is attractive and undergo surgery in order to look beautiful.
This photo greatly represents the extremes in which girls take to look good and be accepted by others. Being noticed by males and females boosts confidence in any individual. This photo shows how young, and feminine this young girl looks, with her pink shirt and pink bed sheets. The laptop with the article on breast implants enhances the feeling that this young girl wants to be much older than she already is, by impressing others with large breasts.
What young girls need to remember is that these celebrities have the financial means necessary to pay for these unreasonable procedures to alter their image. Girls at such a young age should not being going to any extremes to change their appearence. Girls also need to remember that these procedures can also have negative consequences to their present and future health condition.
It seems like the girl in the photo works at Hooters because of the calendar and the uniform laying next to her. I get the idea that she is researching breast implants because she wants to be more "attractive" for men and tips. At the same time, she does not even look old enough to work at Hooters, especially with the innocence of the pink. Her youth could show how even at young ages, girls start to be judged based on their appearance which ultimately affects how they view themselves. Her youth and the Hooters theme could also show how she is trying to change herself to fit male standards. If she is in to get breast implants for better tips, then she is reinforcing a man's fantasy, which no woman, or young girl for this matter, should feel like she has to do.
