In society today the media has large impact on the way young girls look at themselves. Celebrities play a large role in influencing a lot of their fans by getting them to buy their merchandise and starting fashion trends . To me this photo symbolizes the constant battle of young girls trying to fit the image of actors, singer and models. The young girl in the photo has a photo of Rihanna, a pop star who sets a lot Trends for younger and older woman. The young lady in the photo has the same dress as Rihanna and Hairstyle which shows she wants to be slimier to the pop star . The photo is high up which may show how the young lady looks up to Rihanna as a role model. The pictures are similar in many was both females are wearing black which may mean different things. Wearing black can be a sign of trying to look thin or the color black can represent evil. The young lady also showing cleavage like the pop star, this shows how celebrities are not always the best role models. The media takes part in a lot of girl insecurities it shows in order to fit in you have to be a certain size or have certain clothes to feel beautiful. Society needs to show young girls that showing a lot of skin or wearing revealing clothes does not make you beautiful.

It is true how it is interpreted that she looks up to the actress as her role model and is trying to immitate her style. It should also be noted that beside her, to her left is the white poster of Rihanna and to her right is the white wall. This also symbolises the way she feels or has been portrayed by the media as being dark-skinned as an inferior complexion and hence is struggling from both the sides to come out. She is standing in the background and behind her is the dark room which signifies her ignorance of the actual meaning of beauty, which in fact is not just the outer skin but it is something from within. So this picture also depicts the way she feels about her color and also the way she is being crushed by the exterior sources like media, films and glamour which are influencing her personality.
This picture is a perfect example of how women try to be just like women in the media. This is a less serious example because it seems to be only the way she is dressed and the way her hair is. Some girls take it to the extreme and becuase of that they get eating disorders from it. Women in the media are unrealistic so most women are nevewr satisfied with themselves and this can cause a lot of psychological problems.
This picture shows how the media influences young girls.I believe she is wearing a black dress because to look thinner. The fact that her face is showing in this picture, also shows how she is representing young girls everywhere.
