The statement that my picture makes is that little girls can be tough too. Our society tends to feed into the stereotypical ideal that little girls should depict a fairy tale image of a little princess. Girls can be just as rough and tough as little boys.

I like this photograph because I believe it really does show that girls are capable of being as tough or even stronger than some boys. Even though they can't be stronger than all of them, it proves they can exceed higher than some of them. This shows that girls are moving up in the world and staying beautiful while they do it.

I think this picture is important because it shows that girls can feminine, while being as tough as any boy. It also shows that girls don’t have to look like “tomboys”. The look on the little girls face and her body position is important because she is showing that she is not afraid to be herself. This picture does a wonderful job at showing the strength and confidence of the little girl.

This photo made me smile. It’s nice to see a little girl embracing a role other then “typical princess”. Despite the fact that she is dressed in stereotypical girly clothing, with her basketball in hand she is shaking up the image of the typical little girl. I love her stance and expression. She seems so pleased with her self and confident. I hope that this attitude stays with her later in life. We need more strong women in this world :D

There should be more ads and movies with little girls like this. She isnt the typical little girl because she is not wearing pink but has on a tiara, and she has on a dress but a basketball in hand. I think she is the portrait for "females" and just how different and pretty we all are and can be.This little girl is far from the "seperate sphere ideology"...good for her!
